Long, trouble free operation, with minimum maintenance
In sensitive areas the only way to ensure selectivity of entrance is to
positively identity every person seeking admittance.
Turnstile ensures this selectivity by presenting a full height barrier that
cannot be passed until after positive identification.
Control of the identification and therefore the unit can be by attendant
operated push button or one of the variety of commercially available, well
proven card reading security devices.
Constructed from Mild Steel with epoxy powder coated finish stainless steel. The
equipment design permits maximum number of staff to be handled while at the same
time provided necessary strength to resist unauthorized entry.
Dimensions and Technical Specifications
The
full height turnstile, single and dual models are manufactured from mild steel
pipe and angle iron structure to provide exceptional rigidity fitted with a
central rotor of square section tube supporting 30 mm dia stainless steel tubes.
The central rotor is hung from a self aligning bearing controlled at the top end
by an electro mechanical head mechanism and located at the the lower end by a
ball cone bearing.
A transformer / rectifies unit accepts 220 V / 50 Hz and converts it to 24
VDC to power the head solenoids and the logic board which controls the functions
of the unit.
The turnstile is capable of control in both directions, with the option of
single direction control with the reverse direction locked or free upon request
utilizing a push button fixed to the upright.
The Turnstile MK-2 is a double walkway version of the MK-1, interlocking the
rotors in the central dead area to gain a space saving over two single units.
Both walkways are capable if independent control as with the MK-1.
The barrier utilizes a positive action lock, which prevents two passes at one
time. A self centering mechanism with hydraulic damping ensures barrier rotation
to the reset positional anti back up device prevents reverse rotation once the
head has moved 250 from rest.
The turnstile can be configured to be either failsafe, so
that when the mains power fails or is switched off, the rotor is locked in both
directions.
The logic is compatible with most card readers and
incorporates a built in timer to control entry functions.
Red and green status lamps (optional) are available to show
when a card is accepted by the reader and the unit is open for access with the
opposite color lamp being shown on the opposite side of the turnstiles.
The turnstiles gate is applies in kit form for easy assembly
on site Sivananda Electronics will assemble and install on a prepared site if
desired.
An environmental unit is available to enable the turnstile to
be used in exposed conditions ( optional)
Walkway lights (optional) are available o indicate if the
units is being used for entry, exit or bi-directionally.Flish mounted into the
facia over the walkway the 120 mm square indicators show either a green entry
arrow or a conventional red circle with white strips as a no entry sign.
Control of the modes of operation is by remote switch
